This is a mentored waterfowl workshop featuring ducks and is being offered as a partnership between the Virginia Hunter Education Association, the Virginia DWR and Shady Grove Kennel. Limited to 12 participants. Advance registration is required, cost is $140.00. Open to anyone age 18 or older who wants to learn how to waterfowl hunt.

A complete list of things to bring will be provided at time of registration. The day will begin with gun safety followed by the biology and hunting of waterfowl, instruction on hunting over dogs, and a practice live fire session on Shady Grove’s acclaimed sporting clays course. After lunch participants will go afield for the mentored live hunt which includes a guide/instructor and dogs and handlers in the field.
